Is Water Fasting Really Dangerous?

Is water fasting dangerous? Well, my guess is that maybe it is just something to say to scare people into not doing it. If people could fast for weight loss it could potentially destroy companies; companies that work hard to convince people to use their weight loss program, weight loss pills etc. My take on this is that it probably would not destroy companies because saying that you are going to do a water fast is different from actually doing it. As far as the constant argument that water fasting is dangerous, I feel that it is only dangerous for people who do not have excess body fat. I am not a doctor so I do not know for sure but it makes sense if you have excess fat, when you fast your body tries to find another source of energy. So, since fat is unused energy that you pack on your body while you eat extra calories. Your body is going to use that excess body weight for energy and convert it to glucose, and then your body will use the fat storages for energy. That is the main goal of weight loss right. To use your exercising and diet program to use fat for energy. Therefore, I feel this is just a faster way to get results. I also feel like it makes sense for water fasting, to become dangerous if you are a person who doesn’t have much weight to lose, or fat to lose because then the body will use up your fat fast then get to your muscle, organs, brain cells etc. For that energy, your body so desperately needs, so you can perform your daily activities.
